I’ve been having a love affair with Haskell since 2016, so much so, that we put 38,000 lines of Haskell in production at Vacation Labs 1
But, Haskell is not my only interest. I’ve been programming since the age of 10 and have built large systems using dBase, FoxPro, GW-Basic, Q-Basic, Visual Basic, Pascal, C/C++, Java, Javascript, AngularJS, Redis, Postgres, Ruby/Rails, Elm, and more.
Before founding Vacation Labs in 20122, I spent five years at Cleartrip, where I dabbled in Common Lisp3 for the first year. Then, I used Ruby on Rails to build a whole suite of systems4 used within the company. I also spent some time in product strategy and managing the digital marketing team at Cleartrip.
Apart from spending a lot of time with technology, I love travelling, playing (amateurish) guitar, and just enjoying life in Goa, India (where I currently live).

Yes. v1 of the Cleartrip platform was written in Common Lisp. It was later replaced with a mix of Ruby on Rails and Java. It’s an interesting story! ↩
My team built the common payment sub-system, the central data store where all transactions/bookings were stored, and all internal systems used various tasks (post-processing of airline tickets, call center systems, refund processing, etc). ↩
